Kartrider dash is a new facebook game from the popular mmorpg publisher Nexon. Kartrider started out as a standalone game that you can download but has been ported to facebook to make it more accessible to players that does not want to install any programs just to play the game. Kartrider dash has a similar style of racing gameplay as Mario Kart.

Kartrider dash is a racing game that has your typical facebook game elements on it like the dreaded energy system and a friend system. Kartrider dash borrows some gameplay elements of mario kart and other similar surreal racing games. In kartrider dash, you can use items like missiles, bananas and other items that will help you win or let your opponents lose.

Different Kinds of karts to choose from
Besides your basic kart, you can buy other karts you like in the store provided in kartrider dash. This range from menacing looking to cute looking that will cater to all kinds of racing game players. The great thing about them is that they are for cosmetic or the look and no benefits on speed or handling which is great for non-real cash players.
Different Kart riders or avatars
You can also buy riders or what they call characters to change rider of your karts. Just like the varying genre of karts, it is also the same with their kart characters. I especially like the rider that has the bunny ears thing.
Use Items to help you win
If you are familiar with Mario Kart and similar games, then you can use items you get from inside the game to make your kart faster or make your enemies slower or explode. Items like banana to make your enemies' kart slip, missiles to make them explode and other items that have different capabilities that will help you win.
The one of the few racing games in facebook where you can drift
Drifting is another essential feature of kartrider dash. Drifting will help you navigate through sharp corners or obstacles. It also gives you a small boost of speed after you finished drifting.
Several maps
There are more than a dozen maps for you to play with and they range from hard to easy. Some needs skill, while other maps needs you to perfectly use the items you have gotten to win.
Two Modes
One mode is your typical use all item mode and the other mode is for those people who wants only their skill in racing to succeed and prohibits players from using items.

Still in beta
Because it was ported in a browser/program, bugs are still prominent. You can sometimes experience disconnects, in-game bugs as well as the bug that needs you to refresh kartrider dash which is very irritating.
Cash players have a slight advantage over non-cash players
Kart engines can be bough ingame that can increase speed, acceleration or handling of your kart and the engines with most increases are the cash only ones. This makes cash players undefeatable especially in the race mode where you can't use any items but rely on speed and your skill.

I believe that even with this problems, Kartrider Dash is still a game worth playing especially for casual facebook gamers or those fans of mario karts. Hardcore gamers would enjoy this game because of skill needed on one mode and the needed strategy to time the use of your items. Kartrider dash is one game that everyone should play.
