New in town is a new facebook game that feels like an old sims game that you might have played before. In New in town, you will gain control of a character that is trying to make something of himself in the big city. Your character can choose to become a writer, chef, actor or other exciting professions that you would like to choose. In new in town, you will need to work for cash so you can pay for courses to get your dream job, buy food, buy items/decorations, or strenghten yourself to make your character happy. But this game also employs an energy point system just like other facebook game. The game has a working day and time point energy system. In one working day, you will be given time points to spent. Time points will be spent for every action you make in the game. This would likely limit fast progression in this game but almost all facebook game has this system. Besides from this system, it has also the happiness bar. The happiness bar is an indicator on how overworked your character is. low happiness right before sleeping would mean that time points will not fully replenish which would limit your movements in one working day. Besides working jobs, studying, going to a gym, you can also do quest that some people in town may offer. Quest can give you cash, happiness and working days as a reward.

Graphics are 2d cartoon like but still has its appeal. Music: music and sound effects are a little bit repetitive. Not the strong suits of this game.

New in town a new facebook game feels like a simpler version of the sims video game but still has its own appeal. Sims video game fans would likely appreciate what kind of game new in town is. If you are unfamiliar with simulation games like the sims then new in town would likely interest you and for the sims fans, new in town is a hit or miss for you because just like what I said it feels like a simpler version of the sims video game. But overall, new in town is a must play game for any facebook gamers out there because it is one of the only facebook games with this kind of gameplay.
